This morning I had a great meeting with Natalie Campbell from The Business Optimiser. During our conversation we discussed the importance of closed loop marketing.
Let me ask you this:
When you create your marketing campaigns, what is your purpose?
Aside from the obvious brand awareness, the majority of us create campaigns, whether it be via social media or email marketing, to generate leads. Otherwise what is the purpose? We need to make money to spend money, right?
It is important to ensure that your marketing efforts are effective and valuable to your business.
How do you do this?
You need to have a sound process in place for following up with the leads that are generated as a result of your marketing. Not doing so can be the difference in building or losing business. We all know that small business owners / sole traders are often time poor due to the fact they wear many hats. However an effective closed loop marketing campaign, where follow up is automated creating a seamless interaction with your potential client, is imperative. There are many ways to achieve this using web-to-lead forms and automated scheduling etc but you need to have the right tools in place.

Is lead generation and lead follow up one of your pain points? How do you currently manage leads that you generate from your marketing efforts?
